Last Chance Animal Rescue

Eva Norman, President, April 26, 2006 4:00 AM PST

We are the Normans

We run an animal rescue that is basically a cat sanctuary.  We have about 64 cats on the farm.   All are spayed and neutered.  We also take most reptiles and have another rescue that can take the reptiles that we can't.  We have 2 five foot iguanas, and the ball python  we had is now in a museum as he was getting too much for us to handle.  We rescue hard to place dogs when the need arises and we have room.  We are currently full with 8 large dogs.

Our rescue site is:  http://www.geocities.com/buckeyefarm

Our rescue is funded by our train museum.  It is a 5 room HO layout.  It is FREE to the public.  All you have to do is call for an appointment.  859-428-3345  We are located in Dry Ridge, KY.  There is a gift shop where we sell our embroidered items and other gifts, and  on many weekends we take the show on the road with our travel layouts and sell our items at train shows.  We also have some reduced priced pet supplies donated to us.  We do machine embroidery and digitizing for clubs, businesses and other museums.  All the proceeds go to our 501(c)3.

Our clothing catalog with other info can be seen at:  http://www.companycasuals.com/buckeyefarm

DONATIONS are tax deductible and very needed.  We are a small mom and pop operation.  We have very little help or resources but do a great service to the animal world.  We have been able to offer help with vet bills to the elderly, poor and handicapped.  Our goal is to offer FREE spay/neuter  to anyone that needs financial help, partnering with UCAN in Cincinnati and Colerain Animal Clinic and Ft. Wright Animal Clinic in Kentucky.  Thanks to Greg Biffle of NASCAR fame, our goal has begun to happen.
